Λέγεται Πτιλοστήμων η χαμαιπεύκη - Ptilostemon chamaepeuce, και ανήκει στην Οικογένεια των Σύνθετων (Compositae/Asteraceae). Πτιλοστήμων επειδή οι στήμονές του θυμίζουν τα «πτίλα», τα αφράτα πούπουλα κάτω από τα φτερά ενός πουλιού. Χαμαιπεύκη, επειδή τα φύλλα του μοιάζουν με μιας μικρής πεύκης που φύεται χαμηλά, χαμαί. Υπάρχει και σε λευκό χρώμα.

School attend scheme fails to address the issues facing schoolteachers, says report

The chief executive of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL), Paul Hogg, has warned a reform plan to improve the education system, will fail to tackle the "troublesome" problems facing schools and colleges.

Hogg was speaking at the launch of the national inquiry into improving performance and achievement in education and training at the Institute of Education Management Research and Innovation (IEIM), the government's research institute which he led from April 2011.

"We've had a lot of attention on the issues around test scores. So far, our response has been very reactive. There's been a lot of focus on the GCSE results. Unfortunately that's not reflected on the education system itself, because the system is not designed that way," he said.

However, he acknowledged that students performing high in the school assessment will be in a position to improve when they move into higher educational roles, 바카라 providing extra time or extra credits to students already on track and learning skills which would help them to succeed in college or further education.

Mr Hogg was speaking to the launch of his new report 'The future of teaching' which will be released today. The report includes recommendations on the education system and the role of teachers.

He also said: "With the exception of the ASCL's lead recommendation of the NAO to 'take greater steps to ensure that children learn faster and at lower levels' (and a joint recommendation from the Teachers' Federation of England (TWFA) and the Association of English Teachers and Councils (AETC) that teachers should be taught in a more collaborative fashion) our current performance system will not only suffer from its reliance on test results, but it can also impact teachers' careers by reducing their options in areas that could improve their careers," Hogg said.

He said: "The biggest problem is that most schools and colleges don't have access to the extra academic, research and student resources they need to help educate their pupils to the next level.

"While that may mean more pupils graduating from higher levels and having opportunities for careers in their chosen fields – it also means that schools and colleges will not necessarily have the time to continue their education for those that need it the most."

The report focuses on the following areas:

Estimating the size and extent of the gaps in teaching opportunity for the children of each local authority or secondary school and examining the role of other relevant factors (such as high pupil ratios, the availability of extra teachers) in shaping attainment gaps.

The role of academic leadership across school and college systems, including in higher education

How to best address the current crisis of the "trouble
